Pivosoft Technology Academy (PTA) is a nonprofit technology training initiative that equips young people and underserved groups with practical skills in software development, artificial intelligence, digital literacy and related technologies. Through hands-on training, mentorship, community projects and career support, the Academy prepares learners to solve real-world problems, access opportunities and contribute to digital inclusion in their communities.
The Academy is part of the wider Pivosoft technology ecosystem. It connects training, mentorship and practical project work so that motivated learners, including those existing technology education reaches last, can build skills that lead somewhere.
Learners need foundations, feedback, collaboration and visible work. Training moves participants from technical basics to building digital solutions their communities can use, and on to portfolios, professional profiles and honest career preparation.
Six objectives guide the Academy's programmes, partnerships and use of resources.
To equip young people and other underserved groups with practical skills in computer programming, software development, artificial intelligence, digital literacy and related technologies through training, mentorship and practical projects.
To advance digital inclusion among women, young people and people in rural and remote communities by improving access to technology, digital learning resources and practical training in the safe and effective use of digital tools.
To support learners in applying technology skills through community projects that address local needs, develop useful digital solutions and help community members access and benefit from technology.
To provide mentorship, career guidance and opportunities for practical experience that support learners in accessing employment, internships, further education and entrepreneurship.
To collaborate with educational institutions, community organisations, industry professionals, businesses and public bodies to deliver skills training, mentorship and digital inclusion programmes.
To mobilise grants, donations, sponsorships, equipment and income from activities consistent with the Academy's nonprofit objectives, and apply these resources solely towards achieving those objectives.
